Hello world! My name is Jordan and I'm from Atlanta, Georgia. I am a very curious and adventurous soul with a passion for travel and music. I am interesting in gaining skills that will allow me to travel the world and help people along the way. I am very introspective and I believe that travel and understanding of other cultures is the key to peace in this world. I started my traveling journey some years ago when I spent time with the indigenous people of Peru, and it changed my life, catalyzing my current love for world travel. The outdoors is my friend! I love to hike and camp. I have also become very interested in sustainable living practices and farm work and living an overall healthy lifestyle based on nutrition.
For the past three years, I have traveling and working at hostels around the US. I have worked at 8 so far. The journey has led me to grow so much as a person and a musician as well, as most recently in South Lake Tahoe I was able to host open mics and also get paid gigs to play around town, something I never though I would be able to do.
I am a writer, I have been doing so for basically my entire life. I was an English major in school. I specialize in poetry, but also songwriting, prose, really whatever is inspiring me in particular moments in time.
I play the ukulele and the guitar, so I can entertain with peaceful vibes at any moment!
I took some years of Spanish classes which has given me a basic understanding of the language, and I wish to become fluent in the near future.

I could not have asked for a better first Workaway experience! I felt like I was at home immediately upon being greeted by Nina and the staff.
