My name is Jordan, I'm 30 years old and from England! Im currently available and seeking a working opportunity that can go for any amount of time needed from the 25th of January until the end of December 2025, with extensions possible. I am flexible on the start date and can start immediately if necessary.

I first started my travels in 2018 for around 6 months (Thailand, Indonesia, Bali, Malaysia, India, Israel, Egypt, Jordan) I knew it was all I wanted to do after that. I came across Workaway which showed me I can travel the world whilst working along the way and picking up new skills.

I've spent a lot of my time since I was 26 traveling and volunteering/working in different places picking up various skills. I've worked in 2 Buddhist centres, one of which I currently reside in, a hostel for 6 months in Scotland, and various animal care opportunities along the way, As stated, right now, I live in a Buddhist community where I have been managing household duties for the last 9 months. I am also an assistant manager in the World Peace Cafe, which is mixed with cake making for the cafe!

Having spent a vast amount of time in Buddhist centres, meditation is a central part of my life. I've studied during the last 9 months and have been involved in the teacher training program for the new Kadampa tradition. I love being out in nature, hiking, and stargazing, I also love being around animals. Dogs are my, unannounced, favorite. I travel with a beautiful chessboard from India, so if you enjoy the game we will certainly play!

Household management: Room changeovers/cleaning to a very high standard both in a quiet hostel environment and Buddhist centre.

Cafe management, covering customer-facing service, making food/drink. managing the cleanliness of the cafe and management of volunteer/staff duties.

General maintenance

Ability to work on my own and as part of a team. I'm a very patient person, having spent most of my late 20s studying Buddhism. it is now a part of my life. The more self-aware I became the more I understood we are all the same.

I have a positive attitude and there is no task that I will not get stuck into.
