Description
Hi, we’re Brenna and Jon — a couple who loves exploring new places together and meeting like-minded people along the way! We’re happiest when we are outdoors, improving in our hobbies, playing music, hanging out with friends, and spending time with our two dogs and two cats. We find great meaning in helping others, both people and animals alike.
We enjoy hands-on work like gardening, DIY projects, and caring for animals (we've rescued, rehabilitated, and fostered over the years). We’re also excited to learn more about farming and homesteading.
We really value connecting with people and building community wherever we go. We’re motivated by simple things — working hard, learning new skills, exploring new cultures, and spending time with good people. For us, Workaway feels like a great way to combine travel, learning, and meaningful experiences. We are currently traveling around Asia for a couple of months and are looking to spend some time volunteering with organizations that speak to us and align with our values.

Brenna is a nurse and just became a nurse practitioner. She has extensive experience working with patients of all kinds, particularly kids and young adults. She also grew up rescuing and fostering many different animals including dogs, cats, birds, and bunnies. She is personable and timely, finding joy in hospitality. She also enjoys photography and interior design.
Jon works in tech and has many skills when it comes to computers, networks, and system administration. He also enjoys DIY projects and fixing things efficiently. He has aided Brenna with dog rescue/rehabilitation and finds great joy in helping animals. Jon also plays the drums, djembe, and handpan and loves sharing music with others, including kids!
