Description
Hi! I’m Nate, a Biology graduate from the University of Leeds, currently based in the US and free to travel for the next while. I’ve volunteered on an 80-acre sustainable farm in Hawaii, helping with vegetable management, pest control, and maintaining a hydroelectric system, and I’ve spent time visiting farms in South Korea and Vietnam. My background gave me a solid grounding in plant and pest ecology, which I’d love to put to practical use.
I can help with planting, harvesting, weeding, general upkeep, and I’m quick to learn new systems — happy to take direction or figure things out on my own. I’m also a decent cook, so I’m glad to help in the kitchen with whatever’s grown on-site.
What I’m most excited about is learning the practical, hands-on side of growing food that you don’t get from a textbook — things like soil management, crop rotation, irrigation setups, or any specialized systems the farm runs. I’m easygoing, hardworking, and looking forward to contributing wherever I’m needed while picking up real skills along the way. -
