We both have a strong interest in language and communication, and we enjoy helping others learn and build confidence in their English skills. We are clear, patient communicators with a natural ability to explain concepts in simple, relatable ways. With backgrounds in hospitality and customer service, we are used to interacting with people from diverse backgrounds, and we bring warmth, encouragement, and adaptability to any teaching environment. We are hardworking, adaptable, and curious people with a background in sustainable agriculture and degrees in biology and environmental analysis. Nate has hands-on experience with greenhouse work, crop care, and land stewardship, and he enjoys learning through doing. Nate has also spent years in hospitality through bartending, barista work, and other customer service roles so he's comfortable engaging with people, helping out wherever needed, and staying calm under pressure. Jeanne has been working in the science communication field for the last year by ensuring science is accessible and engaging and is passionate about creating welcoming spaces for everybody. She has also had a wide background in customer service and previous workaway experiences. We are motivated by meaningful, purpose-driven work and love contributing to projects that connect people to nature, sustainability, and community. We are reliable, easy to get along with, and always ready to lend a hand.

What else ...

Outside of work, we love staying active and spending time outdoors. Nate enjoys playing volleyball and tennis, both for the competition and the social connection they bring. Jeanne enjoys running, climbing, and reading. Currently, she is using this next year to write a book. Cooking is another big passion of ours, we find it relaxing and creative, and we love trying new recipes or sharing meals with others. Whether we're playing sports, exploring new places, or cooking for friends, we're the happiest when we're moving, learning, and connecting with people.
