Hi! We are Jade and Sawyer, both artists and activists from New York City. We graduated from college last year (May 2025) and have had the wonderful opportunity to travel, volunteer, and teach across Asia and Africa ever since.
We are passionate about Indigenous rights and the preservation of Indigenous land, culture, and communities across the world. We believe in global solidarity and are so thankful for the opportunities to connect with likeminded people and organizations through this platform.
We love teaching! Sawyer is an English teacher with an Advanced 350-hour TEFL diploma. In college, Sawyer specialized in education for refugees and those with extended gaps in their formal schooling. Both of us have teaching experience and have completed university-level courses on 'Teaching English as a Foreign Language'. We have both worked in numerous childcare settings in New York as well. We are happy to share our resumes, references, and relevant certifications per request :-)
In addition to teaching English, we are happy to lead a variety of workshops and projects. Jade is a basketball coach, and loves to share that with the kids. She also has a background in karate, and is generally quite sporty. Sawyer has a background in dance, drama, and creative writing, so she can give ballet lessons, or even help the students to create a school play.

We are both artists and enjoy working with natural materials for projects like sculpting and cyanotype. We love doing crafts, spending time in nature, swimming, and all kinds of animals.
