Description
Hi, I'm Jack! I’ve been travelling around Australia for the last year, helping on farms, gardens, construction sites, and boats, as well as tutoring children and doing hospitality work. With my time in Australia coming to an end, I’m looking to explore Asia next, where I primarily want to volunteer in teaching English.
I will first be going to Indonesia and then Japan in the spring, but I’m open to any other opportunities to travel and help out along the way. These travels are also a bit of a "warm-up" for my next big goal: cycling the Silk Road (12,500 km) from Mongolia back to Europe.
I love travel because it brings about the "new"—new adventures, people, cultures, food, and challenges. I’m always keen to learn new skills and I pick things up quickly; even if there’s a task I haven’t done before, I’ll still give it my all and hope to be a real asset to your project. I’m really looking forward to connecting with new hosts, sharing some stories over a meal, and hopefully becoming a helpful part of your daily life while I'm there.
