  • Description

Hi! I’m Joe, originally from Ireland but recently moved to the USA. I have dual citizenship because I was born in the States while my parents were working there.

I love meeting new people, experiencing different cultures, and sharing stories. Over the past few years, I’ve lived and worked in places like Portugal, Brazil, Czechia, Argentina, and Spain. I’ve also used Couchsurfing to stay with locals and connect and learn.

I’m friendly and adaptable. I enjoy being active: running, going to the gym, playing sports, as well as reading, learning languages, and helping out with hands-on projects. I also teach English online part-time.

I’m always happy to lend a hand, learn new skills, and be part of a team. Whether it’s working outdoors, helping with home projects, practicing languages, or just getting stuck in, I love staying busy and meeting people along the way.

  • More details about your skills

I bring a mix of practical, creative, and language skills that I’d be happy to share during my stay.

For the past three years, I’ve worked as an English teacher in several countries, so I’m very comfortable helping others with language learning. I also speak Spanish, Portuguese, and a bit of Czech, and I’m fluent in Irish (Gaeilge), so I’d be happy to teach you a few words or phrases in the Irish language too.

Academically, I have a degree in Business Studies from Trinity College Dublin, and in the past, I worked as a tour guide in Ireland. I love sharing Irish history, mythology, legends, and current affairs—so if you're curious about Ireland, I'm your guy!

I also play guitar and can teach you some chords or songs if you're interested. Beyond that, I’ve always been handy around the house and enjoy problem-solving, fixing things, assembling furniture, or helping with DIY projects.
