  • Description

Generally speaking other people are a big motivation for me. Especially people surrounding me, like my friends or people with the same or other inspiring beliefs. Every task is easier to manage in a group, given the right energy.
But even when I’m working on a project on my own, it is the knowledge that I can help others or make them happy, that drives me. It makes me so happy, when I finally finish a project I’ve worked on for a long time. Or to see a plan I’ve had works out in the end. Bringing something to an end always gives me new engery for the next project coming.
Over all I would say that my motivation comes from my believe that everything is possible. If you really try. If you want to achieve something with all your heart, you will try everything possible and I am sure there is always a way.

First of all I really want to improve my french. I’ve learned it in school since 1th grade, but I think I need to live somewhere surrounded by french speaking people to become fluent. That is my goal for the next year. And after that I would love to start with a new language, which will probably be spanish. I used to teach younger students in french but that was here in Germany. I could definitely teach others some German and also the basics in English. I have always enjoyed teaching because it is such a good feeling, to see the other person succeed and improve their skills. And it makes me happy when I can motivate someone else and share the enthusiasm I’ve git for a certain topic.

  • More details about your skills

For 13 years I went to a Steiner-School, where we did a lot of wood work (e.g. I build my own furniture) and learnt how to care for plants (e.g. created my own vegetable garden).
The most important thing I could improve during my school time was organising and developing my own projects.
I’ve learned how to stick to the same thing for a longer period and to finish what I’ve started. ( In 8th grade my one-year-project was raising money for an organisation which tries to protect endangered tigers and in 12th grade I talked to people on the street and wrote their stories down).
As part of my school I also lived and worked on a farm in Switzerland for one month, where I was looking after the animals and did work on the field.
As well as working and living in the forest for two weeks. Which meant helping the forester by planting and cutting trees or building raised hides.
In addition I regularly helped out in our school kitchen.
Since 2017 I’ve volonteered at my local church and in my swim club as a youth worker and organised activities with children.
I also gave swimming lessons and homework help.
In my last years in school I could do a couple of internships also with the focus on social work, where I worked with old and disabled people.
One of our teachers gave me and some friends the opportunity to learn how to sail. We did some cruises together in the north sea and helped him repairing his own boat.
(Update: I started studying Visual Journalism and Documentary Photography. So taking photos became a new passion)

  • What else ...

I go swimming two or three times a week and also love every other activity which takes place in the water. I am interested in art and really enjoy being creative.
Theater fascinates me and every time I had got the chance I also really liked doing it myself. I enjoy listing to other people stories as much as I enjoy telling stories myself. I am an optimistic person and always love to spend time with friends. Being outside, listening to music and cycling are things which make me happy. And I find it always exciting to try something new.
