Description

I am an early career marine biologist and thus, one of my largest passions is the ocean and natural world. I have worked on many different research projects and have found great reward in contributing towards the conservation of marine animals. I love being outside and am a very active person. I can often be found kayaking, snorkeling, hiking, gardening, biking, doing yoga, among many other activities. I also love being creative and am constantly working on new art or up-cycling projects. Having grown up with German, Chinese, and Indonesian family members, I have immense respect for other cultures and love exploring new places. My travels thus far have brought me to parts of Europe, South America, and China and I can't wait for more!

I have extensive experience in the science and math fields. I also have many creative skills such as painting, drawing, and building. I have worked previously as both a childcare provider and tutor/science educator and am thus very comfortable working with kids. Additionally, I have yard work experience including weeding, planting, mowing, and pruning, as well as other housekeeping skills like cleaning and organizing. I am a very enthusiastic and positive person and love learning new skills.

What else ...

I enjoy baking and unfortunately have the sweet tooth to match! I love board games with my favorites being Ticket to Ride and Clue. I am always ready for an adventure and love having authentic experiences in new places. I am a big animal lover, but would have to say that harbor seals and frogs are my favorite. On rainy days there is nothing better than curling up next to a fireplace with a good book!
