Description
We're Ross and Holly, a British couple travelling Australia in our 4WD and Oztent. We arrived Feb 2026 and have been exploring ever since—Ross loves the mountains, Holly's in her element in the ocean, so we figured we'd see everything this incredible country has to offer.
We're loving the simple life on the road, but we also genuinely enjoy rolling up our sleeves and getting stuck into meaningful work along the way. For us, Workaway isn't just about a place to regroup—it's about sharing our skills, learning new ones, and building real connections with the people and communities we meet.
What we're looking for:
We're open to all sorts of experiences—whether it's helping on a property, assisting with a community project, caring for animals, or getting involved in sustainable living. We're flexible, reliable, and ready to contribute.

What we can offer:
Holly's happiest with her hands in the soil or a strimmer in hand. She grew up working in the family gardening business and still grows most of our food back home—so she knows her way around plants, tools, and a full day's graft. She's practical, observant, and quietly gets on with things. Doesn't make a fuss, just makes sure it's done right.
Ross is ex-Marines, so he's used to hard work and keeping a level head. He's handy with machinery, tractors, and fixing things—bikes, cars, whatever needs attention. Not one to stand around. Just gets stuck in.
And we're both animal people—grew up with dogs, cats, chickens, horses, you name it. Happy to be around and help out with whatever's about. -
