  • Description

I (Lucy) am a UK based Registered Veterinary Nurse, with over 25 years experience. My husband (Lee) is a UK based Scaffolder with over 25 years experience.

My husband and I hope to travel the world, putting our skills and knowledge to good use at rescue centres and outdoor projects.

We love nature, the countryside, mountains and hiking. We have recently hiked from Lands End to John o' Groats (UK, 1218 miles). Future plans include the Hexatrek (3000km) and the Pacific Crest Trail (2660 miles).

We would love to incorporate our passions for animals and the outdoors in new places around the world, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and seeing new places, as well as picking up new skills along the way.

We are registered volunteers for the Cinnamon Trust (UK based charity) and I (Lucy) have VDS (Veterinary Defence Society) indemnity insurance.

We have volunteered previously at a dog shelter in Scotland (2024) and are due to volunteer at a dog shelter in Thailand for 3 months from October 2025 (external to Workaway site).

"Each moment is a place you've never been."
