Description
My name is Harris. Born and raised in Northern California. I have been traveling/vagabonding/whatever for about 5 years now... I work seasonally, when I can and need to. I try to stay well-rounded. I read a fair amount of novels and poetry, enjoy thru hiking/cycle touring... usually scribbling in a notebook here and there. Did the academic thing for a while, with a formal focus on philosophy and economics. Currently interested in world mythologies, alternative anthropologies, stuff like that.
I make an effort to keep it super minimal with the social media stuff, having been formerly very plugged in. I quit drinking and have enjoyed the changes that followed. I play music (drums since 13, banjo more recently, but desiring to learn the oud).
Health, fitness are greater focuses of my life these days. Been trying to understand my own ethical framework and what my intrinsic values are, which has been an interesting and surprising journey... I take pride in having at least a little in common with 99% of people, but I'm not aggressively extroverted. Forever trying to understand the world, people, how things work; but learning to accept things as they are.
