Hello! My name's Hannah; I'm a 22 year old from Los Angeles who just graduated college looking to learn new skills and meet new people. I recently finished a semester abroad in Italy and really enjoyed the people and nature of the country. I also have some conversational Italian skills I would like to improve on. For fun, I really enjoy spending time at the beach, hiking, cooking, and exploring new places. I also enjoy going out with friends occasionally. I love animals and working with my hands and would like to strengthen my connection to the Earth.

I'm new to WorkAway but have experience working in all types of settings. I've worked at an upscale beach country club serving, taking orders, doing food prep, and handling financial information. I've worked in an office setting at my city councilwoman's office, dealing with constituents, researching for legislation, and writing communications content like press releases and Q & As. Additionally I've worked at a children's robotics camp supervising multiple children ages 6-10 and instructing them on basic engineering activities. I've also been a personal assistant.

I am always interested in learning and discussions around politics and social issues; I'm looking to work in policy/government in the future.

I'm able to cook and have experience using most power tool as well as some very limited welding experience. My biggest skill is my eagerness to learn and be helpful. My primary motivation for doing a work away is to gain new skills - specifically when it comes to working with animals, general construction and farming. I'm happy to do most manual labor tasks.
