Hello !

I'm Gabriel, a 28 year old musician and I'm going to South East Asia from September 2025.
I am looking forward meeting new people, building real connections and working with my hands to help building sustainable communities. This has been driving me for a while now and I finally decided to drop everything and go.
I have done numerous workaways in Greece, Italy, Portugal and Morocco, and I am very used to the entire process: living in a community, cleaning after myself, sharing nice moments together, etc... I am very respectful and open minded, and I adapt easily ro all situations.
I do not tolerate racism and other forms of discrimination, that goes without saying.
I enjoy music, good food, people, nature, animals, hand work, partying and quiet time.
I have experience in gardening, DIY, dog care, customer service, agriculture, and of course music.

- fluent in english (spent over a year in the US), Native French speaker, defenitely want to learn Portuguese
- experience in taking care of plants, fixing furniture, power tools... but never in a professional setting, always to help friends who needed a hand (drilling, woodworking, etc...)
- degree in fundamental mathematics (who knows maybe that can help)
- work well with computers although that's not why I'm traveling to Portugal
- I absolutely adore animals even though I never "had" one on my own
- I work well with Children, I have a bay sister 12 years younger than I am and I taught guitar to 6 year olds
- I cook !! as a french person I am passionated with anything related to food, and can cook for a lot of people
- i work great in a team, I can follow rules and pieces of advice, and will offer my point of view if I deem it worthy
- I can clean up after myself obviously
- I love anything artistic, from any type of art form
- I drive and have my own car, I am used to the camping life and respect any life choices that people make as long as it doesn't jeopardize my own (meaning I do not judge people based on their religion, sexual orientation, gender,..., seems obvious but I feel it needs to be said)
- I am open minded, and will always try to find new ways to look at the world as we know it

What else ...

I enjoy board games, card games, sitting in silence in Nature or drinking around a fire (a safe one), and find a lot of pleasure in helping others. I was dissatisfied by life in a forest of concrete and want to experience another way of finding joy in the world.
