Big music and film fan - I love staying in to watch something or going out to a gig. In Ireland, I go for hikes and walks (especially when the sun comes out). Open to new adventures and activities.

Description

Hi I'm Gordon and I am currently looking to travel in Europe from mid-May. This is my first solo-backpacking adventure, and I've made sure to bring sun cream for my Irish skin.

I aspire to travel around the Balkans and Eastern Europe in general for as long as I feel - I have no set end date.

In 2022 I quit my office job and completed the French route of the Camino de Santiago. That trip, and other previous sojourns, have given me the desire to go further on my European adventures ever since.

I love film and music, and I especially love media from other cultures (and not in the English language).
On the same note, I am a big fan of going to places less-seen by the average tourist - be that a less popular country for tourism or a new adventure in a classic holiday destination.

I love travelling in general, and prefer to have a reason for being somewhere (i.e. to help on a farm or teach English) than for just sight-seeing. I have experience backpacking from previous trips in Spain, Italy and Vietnam, and have helped out on a farm and taught English before.
