Hi! We’re Hannes and Geri — an active, open-minded couple from Germany who love discovering new places and meeting people from all over the world. Hannes works for the German Armed Forces, enjoys strength training, and loves riding his motorcycle in the summer. Geri is a trained social worker who loves working with children, enjoys being outdoors, and likes spending time by the water or hiking through nature.

Through Workaway, we’re hoping to experience something different — to live and work with locals, not just as tourists, but as part of a community. We enjoy helping out wherever we can, learning new skills, and sharing great moments and conversations along the way.

We speak fluent German and fairly good English, and we both like exchanging languages and cultural experiences. We’re reliable, respectful, and motivated — but we also love to laugh and have a good time with the people around us.

We’re open-minded, motivated, and happy to help with a variety of tasks. Hannes is practical and reliable — he enjoys outdoor work, maintenance, gardening, and any kind of hands-on projects. Geri, as a trained social worker, loves working with children, supporting others, and bringing positive energy into a team.

We’re also glad to help with cooking, cleaning, animal care, or creative and community projects. We learn quickly and enjoy taking responsibility — once we’ve learned a task, we’re happy to continue it independently.

Both of us like trying new things, learning from our hosts, and contributing wherever we can while bringing good energy and a respectful attitude.
