Description
Hi! I’m Gabriel, a nurse from Portugal preparing to move to Norway next year. I’m studying Norwegian, but I know real learning only happens when you live the language and connect with people — that’s why I’m here.
I’ve spent years in volunteer work, Erasmus+ projects and scouting, which taught me resilience, teamwork, adaptability and how to support others with empathy. I’m used to multicultural environments and I genuinely enjoy helping, learning and contributing wherever I am.
As a nurse, I’m calm under pressure, responsible, organised and easy to live with. I like physical work, nature, simple routines and meaningful conversations. My goal isn’t just to visit Norway — it’s to understand it, feel it, and prepare myself for the life I want to build there.
I’m ready to help with whatever is needed and to give back as much as I can. Looking forward to meeting people who can be part of this next chapter.

More details about your skills
I’m a nurse from Portugal, so I’m very used to responsibility, teamwork, organisation and caring for others. My profession has given me strong practical skills such as problem-solving, staying calm under pressure, communicating clearly, and adapting quickly to different situations.
Beyond nursing, I’ve been involved in volunteer work and youth projects for many years. From 2024 to 2025, I was a Volunteer Mentor at my local Youth Centre, helping international volunteers adapt, offering guidance, supporting their learning process and making sure they felt integrated. This experience strengthened my communication skills, patience and ability to support people from different backgrounds.
Between 2016 and 2025, I participated in several Erasmus+ projects across Europe (Austria, Russia, Greece, Italy, Finland, France, Germany and more). These exchanges were focused on sustainability, environmental protection, inclusion and community work. They helped me develop cultural awareness, teamwork, flexibility and the ability to work in multicultural environments.
I also spent more than 10 years as a Scout, which taught me leadership, resilience, responsibility, first aid, outdoor skills, and how to work effectively in a group. I’m very comfortable with nature, physical tasks, and practical problem-solving.
In daily life, I’m happy to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, simple maintenance, taking care of animals or supporting hosts with whatever is needed. I enjoy being active, learning new routines and contributing positively to the place where I’m staying.
I’m currently learning Norwegian (going toward B1), and I can communicate well in English, Portuguese, Spanish and litle bit of Italian. l would be very happy to help anyone practise these languages if needed.
Most of all, I bring a positive attitude, reliability, empathy, and the motivation to learn fast. I adapt easily, I enjoy teamwork, and I’m always ready to help with anything that makes the day easier for the people around me.
