Description
Bec and I have quit our jobs to travel full time in our Troopy Pumba.
Bec was a firefighter for the past 8 years and I was Marketing Manager for a Non For Profit Australian company (Specialised in disaster relief). We both have extended experience with animals, house renovations, acreage property maintenance, and a bit of farming!
While travelling, Bec and I decided to lend a hand wherever we can. We also offer free photography services to not-for-profits and small businesses that support their communities.
Language background: Bec speaks English only (for now... She is learning French!) and Astrid is fluent English/French.
The rough idea of our plans:
May/June: North WA
July/August: NT
August/September: North WA
October: WA coast
November/December/January: Tasmania
February/March: QLD
April: Red center
June: North QLD
From September 2026: Europe > Africa> Asia > South America > North America > Canada > Alaska (10/15 years project).

More details about your skills
Before heading to our new adventures, Bec and I have spent 6month renovating our house (an acreage property next to Brisbane).
Therefore, we have experience in house renovations (painting, plastering, kitchen cabinetry, project managing, etc)
We are comfortable with cleaning, gardening, farming, cooking etc
We absolutely adore animals, outdoor activities and are pretty invested in photography/videography.
PS: we are two women, but stronger than some men! Haha
We both exercise a lot, and can help with heavy duty work.
We can also help with marketing, social media, and more

What else ...
We are Astrid and Bec, two adventure-loving women on the road for the journey of a lifetime. In January 2025, we set off from Australia to overland our way to Alaska, crossing continents, experiencing diverse cultures, and embracing the unknown.
The dream? To explore the world at our own pace, immerse ourselves in local communities, and document the highs and lows of life on the road. We want to inspire others, especially women and the LGBTQ community, by showing that overlanding isn’t just for the typical adventurers you see out there. It’s for anyone willing to take the leap, push through challenges, and chase their dreams.
Before we hit the road full-time, we lived in Australia, balancing our careers with our passion for travel and the outdoors. Bec was a firefighter, and Astrid was a Marketing Manager for a disaster relief non-profit. But in August 2024, we made the bold decision to leave our jobs and commit fully to this overlanding adventure.
With our quirky way of life and a love for photography, we’re capturing every moment, stunning landscapes, unexpected detours, and the realities of life on the move. Whether it's hiking remote trails, diving into the deep blue, or sharing stories around a campfire, we’re here to experience it all. Some more information
