Hello hello!!!
My name is Finn and I’m a 24 year old irish person looking to learn and explore this summer.
Through workaway I’m hoping to get the opportunity to learn about agriculture, permaculture and how they can benefit societal groups through bringing communities together as social projects.
I have spent the last 2 years working with food preparation and service with a family run business here in Cork and am hoping that i can learn how to organise and plan to grow food ethically for myself and hopefully in the future help establish and grow community based projects that benefit the people as well as the land used and the animals who interact with the environment.
In my personal time i like to go hiking and climbing with friends, i enjoy cycling and working on my photography and do my best to be active in events for social justice.
I find I’m quite good with children but have not had the experience in managing larger groups of kids and care for them. I also am a big fan of animals, i have my own cat who i adore with all my heart, so animals are not an issue to me and would actually be another thing i would love to learn more about.
I have traveled a bit but it has usually been to explore cities rather than the countryside and natural environments, which is what i would like to change if I’m given the opportunity.

More details about my language interests
I was born and lived for 11 years in Italy but since moving to my home place of Ireland have not been using the language and have therefore lost some of the confidence in speaking it. I would love the chance at getting back into an environment where it might be used so i can regain the knowledge. I can also speak some french so will gladly get involved in any opportunity where its spoken as i love the language.

I have an avid interest for the outdoors and think i have good enough understanding to be confident. Im practicing my map reading for hiking and to reach camping spots.
Through my current job and my coworkers ive learnt alot about food preparation and general uses and benefits and am happy to have become more knowledgeable and in tune with good foods

What else ...

I have a sporty side that has taken a backseat in the last few years. I love playing and watching rugby and playing soccer from time to time.
I spend alot of time with my friends outside of work and in doing so we end up getting creative with how to have some group fun. We play an array of board games at least once a week and i will definitely be bringing one or two with me while i travel. When the weather allows we get out in to our garden and turn it into a different sporting court or when we are feeling calmer we tend to working on the hedges or helping our next door neighbour with his garden.
