Hello!
I am 18 years old and still have many dreams - one of them is to get to know the world. That's why I'm here at Workaway. I love the idea of combining travel with meaningful work, meeting new people and really experiencing cultures - not just as a tourist.

I am an open, curious and helpful person who likes to lend a hand. I especially love nature and animals and prefer to spend time outdoors. Friendly, respectful encounters are very important to me - I value harmonious interaction and like to bring a positive atmosphere with me.

Even though I haven't traveled much yet, I now feel the desire to go off on my own, leave my comfort zone and gain my own experiences. I'm ready to learn a lot, take on responsibility and embrace new ways of life.

Workaway is the perfect opportunity for me to gain valuable insights into other realities of life and ways of working - and to make a contribution at the same time. I'm looking forward to discovering new places, helping out and developing myself further - as a person and as a traveler.

I am a very cheerful, positive person and love to make others smile. Friendliness and an open attitude are important to me - I like to help create a harmonious atmosphere. I am helpful, reliable and punctual and enjoy helping, whether indoors or outdoors. It is important to me that I can make a meaningful contribution and make work easier for others. I am very good with children - I am patient, empathetic and I really enjoy spending time with them or guiding them in their daily lives. My other strengths are: - Team player - I enjoy working with others, listening and contributing ideas - I am a quick learner - I am curious and open to new tasks - Sense of responsibility - You can rely on me - Good energy and sense of humor - I stay friendly and positive even in stressful moments I am open to all kinds of tasks - be it housework, gardening, cooking, childcare, helping with animals or small handyman jobs. I always give my best and look forward to learning new things and developing myself.

What else ...

In my free time, I prefer to be on the move - I love being outdoors, being active and enjoying nature. I love swimming, hiking, cycling and playing volleyball. I also love anything to do with water, such as boating. In general, I just really enjoy sport and exercise.

I also like gardening - I find working outside with my hands and caring for plants very calming. And when I'm indoors, I love cooking or baking - preferably for others. I like to try out new recipes and enjoy giving pleasure with food.

I also really enjoy playing card and board games - preferably in good company. I like social evenings, laughing together and simply having a good time with nice people.

Femke stayed for one week in our ecovillage and we had a great experience with her. She is a very respectful, dilligent and helpful person, with a big heart and smile. She is also easy going and adapts quickly to the new place and situation. We can highly recommend her! :)
