Hello, we are Joss and Evie. We have just completed our first Workaway experience in Perth which was fantastic. We are onto our 2nd Workaway experience and are keen to pursue more future opportunities.

We have been together for 7 years and this year we are lucky enough to have the time to be travelling around new parts of the world. Since the new year we have travelled to Sri Lanka, Thailand, Laos and currently we are in Vietnam.

Back home Joss is a marine electrical fitter. Working onboard submarines he is used to physical, hands on work, working within a timeframe and meeting deadlines.

Evie has a background in Marketing which really interests her however she has just finished her stint working in a pretty different industry as a stewardess on superyachts.

With our combined experience we are an enthusiastic and positive couple always happy to help. We’re looking forward to getting stuck into Workaway, learning new skills, meeting new people and experiencing life in different areas.

Collectively we have experience working full time jobs in different fields and with that we bring a variety of skills. Evie, a marketing graduate, gained a couple years of experience before wanting to experience a total change of industry to superyachts. She had the goal of doing this before getting serious on her Marketing career. She has spent the last year working as a stewardess onboard a couple superyachts, getting to see parts of the world and even crossing the Atlantic.

Joss is a marine electrical fitter and has worked his way up over the last 8 years after completing an apprenticeship. Its a hands on, manual job working on submarines.

Our experience has given us great confidence when working safely and productively in timeframes. We always use our initiative but won’t shy away from asking questions if needed.

What else ...

We love getting out into nature, hiking, swimming, and the occasional surf and water ski. We have a van at home, which we renovated a couple years ago for our adventures. Luckily for us we live in a great spot in the UK to explore coastlines and beautiful nature spots. Joss is a keen football player and has played all of his life! Plus he’s partial to a bit of gaming in his free time too.

Speaking of games, we love family time and often play Scrabble, Boggle and Uno when we all meet up. We are both animal lovers and keen cooks and love creating a healthy lifestyle.
