Description
For a long time now I've been dreaming of something more than just my 9-5 office job. This life makes me feel disconnected from what's really important. Being in, engaging and live in harmony with nature. True real connections with likeminded people, community life, going back to basics, being (more) self-sufficient and learning real valuable skills..
Through WorkAway I will be trying to find this things, or at least finding a better balance for myself. I've travelled the world quite a bit, but always just visiting and never contributing/connecting like described above.
Now, I've bought myself a little campervan, making it more easy to travel around Europe and being more flexible.
I started traveling from the Netherlands to Austria in November and from there I went South to Spain. Haven't done any volunteering yet, but eager to visit my first host in Portugal soon!Interests

More details about your skills
Although I do doubt whether it's relevant for workaway.. but my current education and profession mostly gave me the necessary computer, administration and planning skills, as I've studied logistics&economics and work as a planner in a (bicycle) production and warehousing company. I'm very structured, precise and good in creating overview of what needs to be done.
Although being an office job, I'm always very much engaged and giving the helping physical hand wherever necessary. Not turning away from challenges and learning new skills in a pragmatic way.
In my free time I often find myself helping others with things like (home) moving, renovating and "figuring stuff out" like finding the right technical solutions. I'm not saying I'm a wonder with building stuff, but I have some general experience and I am sure to be a help.
Unfortunately I don't have a lot of gardening expertise, although in my youth I've worked the land (flowerbulbs) on saterdays and during school holidays. Definitely willing to learn about permaculture and/or being able to grow food biologically in general!
As for languages, being from the Netherlands, both my Dutch and English are fluent. If there's any interest, I'm willing to teach others some. Although I've had German and French in school, I won't say I'm any good at them ;-)
Sure there are some other skills which I don't consider a skill, them being so normal to me ^^Age
