Hi! I’m Emily, I’m 24 and I’m from England.
I’m a friendly and compassionate person, curious to learn more about the world through new people, cultures and experiences.
Over the next year I’m hoping to travel to many places. I like a slower pace of travel, so I hope to find many workaways along the way to experience new cultures, learn about alternative ways of living and learn new skills. I wish to pursue good, impactful work. All whilst finding community and meeting kind and interesting people along the way.
★ In no particular order, I’m interested in workaways involving:
Animal care and rescue, humanitarian work, permaculture, sustainable living, conservation, yoga, meditation, music, community, sailing and boating and so much more.

I'm vegetarian (10 years and counting)
I love walking and hiking, I walk daily to practice mindfulness and connect with nature
I enjoy yoga
I enjoy reading
I’m interested in Buddhist teachings and meditation
I'm big on personal growth and exploring new interests and skills
I hope to travel everywhere! Starting with Europe, Sri Lanka and Indonesia. I also hope to see all of South East Asia, Japan, South Korea, Nepal, Bhutan, India, South America, Morocco, Canada, the list goes on…
★ Previous Work Exchanges:
I experienced my first workaway earlier this year, where I spent 5 weeks volunteering for an animal rescue in Greece, it was truly one of the best experiences of my life.
Before that, I spent over 1 Year travelling and living in Australia. I spent 6 months living on a vegan animal sanctuary in Queensland for a work exchange, where I looked after farm and domestic animals, did lots of gardening work and all kinds of other jobs around the farm.

I’d be very happy to teach English to anyone hoping to become more fluent. Whilst in Australia, I helped a few colleagues (English was not their first language) to practice their grammar, I found it fun and rewarding.
