Description
I’m a curious, friendly, and open-minded person who really loves being around people. I’m at my happiest when I’m meeting new faces, sharing stories, and learning from others. Travelling motivates me because it pushes me out of my comfort zone in the best way, I interrailed around Europe and loved adapting to new places and ways of life. I studied History at the University of Manchester, and I’ve always been fascinated by culture, language, and everyday life in different countries. I’ve had lots of different jobs, from waitress and barista to tutor and civil servant, which has made me flexible, hardworking, and happy to help wherever I’m needed. Volunteering is something I really care about. I’ve helped run activities for a local girls’ group and volunteered at a conversation club supporting asylum seekers to practise English through games and informal chats. I love seeing people grow in confidence and feel welcome. I’m quite creative and enjoy drawing, writing, journaling, and reading, and music is a big part of my life. I’m from Liverpool, a very friendly city by the sea, which has given me a love for the beach, nature, running, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I see Workaway as a chance to be useful, meet great people, share experiences, and enjoy everyday life in a new place while learning as I go.

More details about your skills
I have a History degree from the University of Manchester and experience working as an English and History tutor with both adults and children, including children with learning disabilities. This has helped me develop patience, creativity, and strong communication skills. I’m a native English speaker and would be very happy to help with conversational English in a relaxed, supportive way. I’ve worked in a range of people-focused roles, including waitress, barista, babysitter, and civil servant, which has made me adaptable, organised, and comfortable taking responsibility. During my time in the civil service, I was involved in digital communications projects, directing and filming videos and editing content to promote an internship programme. This gave me practical experience in content creation, basic video editing, and communicating ideas clearly and creatively. I’m confident leading small groups, speaking in front of others, and helping people feel comfortable and included. I’m also creative and enjoy drawing, writing, journaling, and arts and crafts, and I’m happy to help with creative projects, activities for children, or social media and promotional content if needed.I’m always keen to learn new skills and help wherever I can, whether that’s teaching English, supporting digital or creative projects, helping with daily tasks, or simply bringing positive energy and enthusiasm to the team.
