Description
The activities I enjoy most are usually a mix of nature and movement, anything from land to water. I’m also a bit of a gym girly who loves a good book, great food, and connecting with people. Sri Lanka has been on my list for many years, and I’m really looking forward to experiencing everyday life there in an authentic way.
Professionally, most of my background is in management, with a more recent shift into the marketing space. I currently work as a general marketing assistant and project manager, helping with content creation, writing, and communication across different social platforms, while also continuing to build my online brand as a Primal health & Mindset coach.
I’ve been travelling on and off for over 10 years. I’m a quick, detail-oriented learner with strong problem-solving skills. During my time on the road, I’ve worked in a wide range of roles, including factories, farms, hotels, family homes, and community spaces.
My tasks have ranged from physical labour like landscaping, building, and gardening, to working with animals, including day-to-day care, administering medicine, herding, and shearing. I’ve also worked in hospitality, from housekeeping and kitchens to reception, tour selling, and guiding.
What excites me most is personal growth. I love learning from people and my environment, and sharing my skills and knowledge in return. I value clear communication and am usually happy to support with any tasks needed.
I’m not a big party person, but I am very present with people. I’m an attentive host and a natural space-holder. I care about balance. Work and rest. Movement and laughter. Alone time and connection.
Although I’m not the loudest person in the room, I tend to leave a lasting impression. I love a good laugh, deep conversations, shared meals, doing activities together, and guiding or holding space when needed. Trips I’ve organised are still remembered as favourites by friends and clients, even ten years later. One of the nicest compliments I receive about my personal travels online is that people feel inspired and often say they’d love to join me.
One of my big dreams is to buy land one day, grow food, build something simple and beautiful, and create a space where people are welcome to come, breathe, and play. A place that brings people back to themselves, to nature, and to each other. For this year, the goal is to begin organising trips, retreats, and workshops as the first step toward that bigger vision. -

More details about your skills
I bring a mix of practical, hands-on skills and people-centered experience.
I’ve spent years working outdoors, especially in gardening and landscaping. That includes everything from general garden maintenance and weeding to more physical tasks like planting, pruning, building fences, and concreting driveways. I’m comfortable with physical work, being outside, and getting my hands dirty.
Alongside that, I have a strong background in organization and communication. I’ve worked in management and project coordination, which means I’m detail-oriented, reliable, and good at following through. I work best when expectations are clear, and once I understand what’s needed, I’m happy to take initiative and support where I can.
I also bring skills in digital work and communication. I have experience with social media content, writing, basic marketing tasks, and client communication, which can be helpful for hosts running homestays, retreats, or small businesses.
Beyond technical skills, I’m a calm and attentive presence. I’m good at holding space, listening, and creating a sense of ease in shared environments. I care about the places I work in and the people I work with, and I tend to show up fully rather than just ticking boxes. -

What else ...
Side note: I work best in environments where there’s mutual respect, clear communication, and a basic sense of kindness. We don't necessarily need to be constantly involved, but I do value simple politeness and appreciation for each other. I tend to work hard and genuinely care about the people I help and the spaces I’m part of, so I’m likely a good match for hosts who enjoy the Workaway experience and see it as a shared exchange rather than just extra hands.
