Hi there! My name is Elena, i’m 34 y.a. from Italy (Turin).

My last workaway experience has been in april in Sri Lanka, where i was teaching english to little monks in a Buddhist Monastery, living with the chief monk's family, lovely experience!! Then I participated to the Vipassana Meditation retreat and, after that, to a yoga retreat in India.
My first time with Workaway has been in New Zealand, living with a Malaysian family for about 2 months during the Covid lockdown, taking care of their animals and helping them to clean and fix house and garden, an experience i will never forget!!
Then i've been other 2 months in a Yoga community in Auckland (Kawai Purapura) where i had the chance to meet voluteers from all over the world, learn more about yoga, meditation and mindfullness, and working as a marketing assistance in the office (i managed website and social medias, created contents for retrats and events...).

About me: I have a bachelor degree in administration and finance, a master's degree in business management and a certification in "Marketing & web strategy".
I have experience in customer service, as receptionist and front office, as housekeeping supervisor, in administration, in hospitality and marketing.

I really love travelling and, everytime I’m planning to visit a new country, I always organise a trip that let me discover culture, food and habits of the local people.
I’m a positive, curious, very friendly and helpful person, even if I’m a little shy. I think I have a great adaptability and I would like to exit from my comfort zone improving my skills.
I like dance, snorkeling, walking, swimming, read, take photos and videos, i love yoga and I'm trying to find out more about meditation, mindfullness and the buddhism culture.

I really love animals but dogs in particular (I'm allergic to cats tho)! I had 2 big German Shepherd who were like my childrens, now with my family we have a new young labrador and, before Australia, i lived with my partner and our dog Axel, who i really miss.
