Description
Hello everyone, my name is David.
A human being who enjoys the little things that life has to offer.
A colorful butterfly flying next to me, a flowing river, a child's smile (also an adult's), a pleasant and fruitful conversation, observing nature and thus observing myself and, above all, healthy laughter and humor.
I travel most of my life with breaks for the sake of a living or anything that life requires me to stop for a while. But there is always a great desire for movement. Discovering cultures and peoples, different languages, other customs, new landscapes and human beings.
This journey makes me realize more and more how much there is no difference between us once we overcome the barrier of language, tradition, customs, prejudices and different identities. We all have the same feelings of curiosity, compassion, fear, love, anxiety, loneliness and a desire to be together.
Part of my journey is to see these feelings, to observe them and let them pass and not allow them to be a barrier between me and what surrounds me, people, nature, animals and thoughts.
The journey is mainly internal, throughout most of life. There is really no place to reach or time that is about to end.
Therefore, an integral part of the journey is relationships and acquaintances with different or similar people who are essentially a mirror in which you can see where you stand. Not only in your thoughts, but in reality itself. Only in this way can you grow from the root to wherever you like to.
In fact, the desire to volunteer and help others comes from a huge desire to know others and myself in a deep way and not from prejudices. To share experiences, creation, action, tears and hugs. It doesn't matter to me where you come from, what your language, religion or beliefs are. I am interested in what kind of person you are and what excites you when you wake up in the morning.
Until now, I have not volunteered through this platform. Usually everything happened out of flow.
Now I have a desire to incorporate volunteering into this journey and this platform feels great for that.
There is a huge curiosity and excitement to experience this journey without knowing where it will lead.
PS
This text seems a bit spiritual to me, haha, but I don't consider myself a spiritual person, I don't really understand the meaning of this word. I have no rituals, customs or beliefs. a person should investigate everything and not rely on what "great and important people" say.
I am a simple person, who hopes to do good and sometimes makes mistakes along the way.
I hope to be part of your journey and you on mine.
Thank you.

More details about your skills
I have always loved experimenting with a wide variety of things and topics. That is why versatility is my thing and I will share some of them here, from the humanitarian to the business side.
*
I will start by saying that my current profession is a tourist guide.
This profession in Israel requires a lot of knowledge and research. As you know, the country is located in a strategic location as a single land crossing, adjacent to the sea, connecting the continents of Europe and Asia with the continent of Africa. This has caused dozens of empires to pass through this country and leave their mark. This requires you to study the entire history of empires, religions, customs and leaders in a comprehensive and meticulous manner, from ancient man to the present day. And who knows, there is no shortage of history in this place, for better or for worse.
I really love this job. But since the Corona pandemic and other things along the way, the industry has been hit hard and the work has decreased.
I work mainly with Christians in English and Spanish.
During the Corona, when tourism stopped, I worked with teenagers from ages 6-18 on educational trips in Israel.
Below is a list of some of the skills/jobs, not in chronological order:
*
I managed a guesthouse with 10 rooms for a year, which includes a restaurant and a small chocolate factory while the owner decided to take a break and travel to India.
It was really nice, not too challenging but mainly full of communication and relationships with people of all kinds.
I consider myself a very Services person. Years of traveling and working with people have taught me what a person wants and needs during their vacation/trip. I always have the thought in my mind of how I can improve their experience and comfort. Trying to see their lack before they contact me.
*
I lived on an isolated mountain for two years, off the grid, which made me learn more and more about different types of systems such as solar, water pumps, building with clay, plaster and all sorts of things.
The place, which was in wild nature, was constantly in need of certain repairs and improvements due to weather damage and animals. I learned to build and fix everything with my own hands.
I installed drywall with insulation for my yurt, built a pool that works with interlocking tools and filters the water, built a new solar system, fences around the two-acre property, water pipes and irrigation, tree care, etc.
*
I worked for a year with mentally challenged people. A very challenging job that requires mental and physical strength. I helped them manage their daily lives properly, maintain hygiene, and with some of them try to live as independently as possible. I took care of their well-being, nutrition, medication, and their mental side.
I loved the work because of the personal challenge that was always present there.
*
I worked for three years in a kindergarten from ages 1-3 (yes, men can do it too :) )
I changed diapers, told stories, got angry, hugged, put them to bed, and took care of their health most of the time so that they wouldn't get hurt.
Perhaps the most enjoyable job I've ever had in my life.
*
I was a logistics manager for 5 years for several different companies in Israel, Mexico, South Africa, Germany and Denmark.
Some in the fashion sector and others in the beauty sector.
I mainly dealt with financial issues, ongoing management of work with suppliers and importers, setting up stores in different regions, receiving and supervising employees and mainly dealing with numbers and one big, pointless headache hahaha.
They say I'm very good at it, because I'm a pedant and don't know how to cut corners, but I don't find it interesting most of the time.
*
In addition, when I didn't want to use my head, I would work/help a friend with physical work such as gardening, huge shading for events, light construction and producing small events.
*
I am essentially an autodidact.
I like to research, learn, fix and build things myself most of the time.
My mother hasn't called a professional for 10 years. When the washing machine, refrigerator, dishwasher breaks down, I take it apart, study its components and usually manage to fix it.
I've had jeeps in recent years and I've done most of the repairs myself.
I love manual labor, it heals my soul and body and calms my mind.
Writing is the greatest love of my life.
That's where I feel most at home.
Some claim I'm a poet and a writer, but right now, I just write.
I also play guitar, a little harmonica and piano and I previously learned to play the sitar in Varanasi.
Versatile.
