Description
Hello!
My name is Conor. Originally from Ireland but I have been living in Canada for around 14years.
Right now I am taking a break from the Canadian winter to work and travel Europe. I just finished the Portuguese Camino. Before that I spent time in central Portugal working alongside a syntropic agrofarm which was rebuilding after last years wildfires. It was great work and very rewarding watching the progress and growth after almost 90% burned last year. I’m particular interested in learning more about vegetable growing and harvesting, irrigation systems, and anything to do with sustainable living.
I had a great time on the last project and I’m very interested in doing something similar again! -

More details about your skills
I’ve bartended in Ireland, Canada, New Zealand and Japan, so I like to think of myself as a good multitasker and easy to get along with.
I was also an English teacher in Japan so I have no problem in helping those who would like to improve their English while I am there.
I consider myself pretty handy and confident with most tools. My father is a carpenter so I spent every summer growing up helping on building and construction sites. I also enjoy pairing and landscaping work. However I’m just beginning to learn about fruit and vegetable growing which is what I’m hoping to focus on in my work way experiences. I would like to learn about sustainable living through growing our own foods with as little chemicals as possible.
Bonus if there is a bee apairy! -

What else ...
Having lived in Canada for so long I’m an avid fan of the outdoors. Hiking, camping, rock climbing and skiing are some of the hobbies I enjoy in my spare time. I enjoy being surrounded in nature and thoroughly believe it is one of the most important things one can do to improve mental health and happiness!
