Hello there! My name is Cole and I'm from California. I'm a warmhearted and amiable guy and would love to learn about others' cultures and ways of life. A nature lover, I grew up swimming at the beach, biking, and hiking the trails around my neighborhood, so I'd love to explore more natural landscapes. I also think food and cooking are great ways to explore and enjoy new places. I graduated last year from the University of California, Davis, and will be spending the 2023-2024 school year as an English language assistant in a French high school. One of the highlights of my college experience was studying abroad in both Paris and London (my first experience abroad); now, by contrast, I'm hoping to integrate myself with the people and cultures of more rural areas. In the meantime before I start as an assistant (and perhaps during the school year as well!), I hope to make the most of my time by travelling to new places!

I've worked alongside my father for a number of months as a roofer, so I have general experience with handyman-related tasks and working with several power tools.
During my time in university, I worked as an office clerk and payroll assistant for the local transit authority. I also know quite a bit about computers, software, and general digital know-how.
I love taking pictures and would like to think I'm pretty good at it.
I natively speak English and I'm fairly proficient in French.
If you speak a third language, I'd love to learn a little! I'd also love to learn more about farming or gardening.
