After more than 10 years behind my desk I felt it is time to go out into the world: meeting new people and cultures, work with my hands, create some value by supporting other people around the globe. That is why I took a career break from my job at the German Development Bank to travel the world and enlarge my horizon. After helping on a farm in the Suisse mountains and visiting Brazil, I am now ready to use my woman power by working in Africa, preferably in Senegal.

Since the age of 9, I am learning french. My dream is to become truly fluent in that language.English is the language of my studies and also used in everyday life. I am fluent and also able to teach.

I am an extroverted person, with a good ability to relate to people, pragmatic, enthusiastic and who knows how to identify needs without waiting to be told what to do. I am a proactive person and a fast learner. I really like to get things done and I love being outdoors. I am flexible and prefer to work in a team but above all with a good mission and towards a noble goal. The preservation of our planet is very close to my heart.

My background is in development economics (I studied in the Netherlands and Canada) and for the last 11 years, I worked in financial development cooperation. In this context, as well as out of private interest, I have already gained some practical experience in African and South Asian contexts (living and working abraod for several months). I am fluent in english and speak french quite well. In Kenya as well as in Germany, I have worked as a teacher. Last summer I helped a Swiss family with their alpine herding for six weeks at 1800 metres with all tasks, including milking, childcare and cheese production. I really enjoyed the physical work.

I have learnt to adapt well to new situations and people and I am always happy to expand my knowledge and learn new things.

I like to play board games or games in general. I am an open minded person, always interested in new things. I have a variety of interests and hobbies but mainly sports (any kind, but preferably outdoors), Yoga (I am a certified Vinyasa teacher), meeting with friends, cooking and eating, cultural events.
