Profile information

Description
I'm an Italian girl that loves travelling, meeting new people and learning new skills.
I'm an anthropologist, I am currently based in Copenhagen and I just finished my PhD, where I collaborated with some island communities to get insights on their experiences in the energy transition.
Back in 2016, I had my first experience with Workaway, in Ireland, helping with housework and children. I'm still in contact with the family and I was back there staying with them also two years in a row after my first stay there. I also did a Workaway in Iceland, where I worked in a cow farm. It was an amazing experience, where I learnt many things and I contributed daily to the work of the family owning the farm.
I like learning new things from different people, and travelling in this way gives me the chance to discover things about the world and about myself that I didn't know. I am also happy and hopeful to contribute somehow to the community/family that is hosting me, and establish a mutual relationship, where both parties involved have the opportunity to learn, teach and grow.
I love music, I play the piano and I'm learning the tin whistle. I like sports as well, especially when practised outside (such as running, hiking, tennis).

More details about your skills
I think I'm good with children, I had different experiences of volunteering and working in very different situations with different children (from 4 months old to 11 years old). I'm very concerned with helping the environment as well, and I'm always glad when I have to learn something about farming or gardening. I love animals so I've no problems in helping with them. I like baking and trying to cook new recipes or even traditional Italian dishes. I can adapt, and I love learning different things that might be asked. In this period of my life I really need to do and learn things concerned with manual work.
