Profile information

Description
Around seven years ago I rented out my house in the UK to travel and follow the flow of life — and it’s still flowing.
I’ve volunteered in a wide range of community settings, including Buddhist centres in France and Taiwan, Ängsbacka (Sweden), Osho Leela (UK), and an artists’ residency in Colombia.
I’m easy-going, practical, friendly and reliable. An early bird, I love being outdoors in nature (especially with animals), and also enjoy cosy indoor spaces. I’ve worked in many fields over the years, learn quickly, don’t need micromanaging, and take pride in doing a good job.
I’m happy to help with cooking, cleaning, gardening, decluttering, driving, café work and general support.
I trained as a counsellor, with a strong understanding of psychology and relationships, and have completed two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings. I’m passionate about sharing practices that help people self-regulate, feel at home inside themselves, and experience yoga as something accessible, grounded and human.
While living in Buenos Aires I trained as a massage therapist and worked for a year offering Californian massage, alongside teaching slow yoga classes. I also teach yoga online weekly to a long-term student.
I’ve danced tango for around ten years and more recently enjoy the freedom and authenticity of contact improvisation. I value connection, touch, meaningful conversation and honest exploration of what it means to be human.
I love cooking for others, hosting, and creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere — and of course, making new friends and sharing memorable experiences along the way. 💗

Feedback
I really enjoyed my time here and the exchange felt fair, good idea to split the hours into morning and afternoon 1.5 hours, as most of the students are shy to speak English so it can take a bit of energy.
They are all wonderful people though… read more
She spent almost a week speaking and helping the students with their pronunciation. She also participated in a speaking activity. We were very happy to have her at the school.
If you are looking for responsible and cheerful people, Charley is one of them.
We hope to see you back next year.
Thank you so much Cheryl for your help and gentle presence at our Centre, we would love to have you… read more
The work is simple and easy, people care how you feel and what is enough.
We laughed a lot in meetings before work each day at 9 and 2 and I loved my walks or runs in the forest. A super place to escape the madness of modern day life.
I’d love to return or visit another… read more
