Hi everyone! My name is Charlotte and I’m looking for exciting projects to get involved in while living in New Zealand for a year.

I love nature and connecting with people from all different cultures. I speak German and Russian as well as English and am always keen to pick up a new language.

Having studied in the UK for the last five years (I have a degree in German and Russian and another in Film Studies!) and then worked in hospitality for the last year, I'm really looking forward to taking things a bit slower for a while and going day to day.

I’m happy to help out with any work that needs doing, I would describe myself as adaptable and up for any challenge! The thing I’m looking forward to most with Workaway, though, is meeting new people and hearing about their lives and their stories. Having lived across three countries and travelled almost 30, I’m really passionate about getting to know people with different experiences to me. Look forward to meeting as many of you as possible!

More details about my language interests
I studied languages at the University of Cambridge for four years so I love learning about and teaching them. I am always keen to learn new languages but would also love teaching. I worked in Berlin teaching English to German citizens through an app and helping Ukrainian refugees pick up German vocabulary as well so languages and their importance is a cause close to my heart.

I speak English fluently, and can speak German and Russian well. I’m learning French too and always trying to pick up new languages having studied them at university. I also love cooking and would love to make meals for you! Having worked in hospitality for almost a year, I also have good organisational and event skills, ranging from serving food and drinks to cleaning a space after an event. I used to work a lot in the garden with my mum growing up and that’s a skill I’d love to work on more if you need any gardening help. Overall I’d say I’m a very quick learner and will put in a lot of effort with projects especially if I’m picking up new skills!
