Travelling
Description
Hi!
First of all, I am on a big trip, kind of anywhere and everywhere that calls my name with no return ticket just yet. I am also an EU citizen so visa's aren't a problem!
I am someone who finds the joy in life from simple things, such as good conversations, new experiences and the occasional sunset or view that stops you mid-track and go 'whoa'.
What really motivates me, and is the reason for my love of travel, is connection. Whether that is bonding with people over a shared project, swapping stories over a meal or feeling like I’m contributing to something worthwhile, I get the most happiness from being part of a team, contributing to a space that’s bigger than myself, and learning from the everyday lives of people around me. Whether it's helping with hands-on tasks, organising spaces, assisting with guests, or supporting everyday life, I enjoy variety, doing things with care, and being reliable and present.
Being close to nature, animals, and kind people brings me the most happiness. I love the feeling of shared meals, laughter, and learning from others’ stories. I'm also happy with quiet moments and enjoy getting my toes in the grass, spending time outdoors or working with animals (I’m a proud dog owner back home!). Staying active and creative is important to me, but I also find joy in the rhythm of routine.
I’m curious, adaptable, and don’t mind getting my hands dirty. I joined Workaway because I believe the best parts of travel aren’t necessarily places, but are the people. Workaway is a way for me to experience travel in a slower, more connected, and intentional way, and I’m genuinely excited to contribute to the places I stay while sharing moments, stories, and a good sense of humour along the way.
Looking forward to crossing paths!

Both my parents are French but I grew up in Australia, this means my French is at a conversational level but I would love to get it to a fluent level. More details about your skills
Over the past few years, I’ve developed a strong mix of practical, people, and problem-solving skills through roles in administration, customer service, hospitality, management, and a lifetime of helping out on my family’s fruit tree farm.
I’ve worked as a receptionist, where I was the calm and capable go-to for organisation, events, supporting guests and clients, managing invoices, and helping offices run like clockwork. I’ve also supervised shifts in fast-paced hospitality, leading teams, handling money, training staff, and improving performance (while keeping a good sense of humour intact).
But beyond the office, I love working with my hands. I grew up on a rural fruit tree farm, so I’m no stranger to harvest work, outdoor maintenance, tool use, and hands-on problem-solving. Woodwork was my favourite subject in school, and I still really enjoy practical tasks; fixing, building, or just getting stuck into whatever needs doing.
My strengths include:
Conversational French speaker and EU passport holder
Being reliable, practical, and solution-oriented
Offering warm, professional communication
Handling admin tasks and bookings with ease
Basic handyman skills from growing up on a farm
Comfort with physical work and working outdoors
Team leadership and task coordination
First Aid certified and trained in Safe Service of Alcohol (RSA)
Whether you need help with hosting, farm work, maintenance, pets, or people, I am happy to roll up my sleeves, learn as I go, and bring a positive energy to your space.Age

What else ...
When I’m not working or travelling, I’m probably doing something creative or curious, reading (usually fiction or history), exploring the nature or town around me, or trying to learn something new just because it’s interesting. I love languages, storytelling, and those deep chats that start with “just one question” and end two hours later.
I am a huge of a board game and card game fan, especially if it involves some strategy, a bit of chaos, or friendly competition (I have a couple favourite card and dice games that I love to teach to people). I also really enjoy cooking, especially when it’s shared with others.
I’m happy being social, but I also really appreciate quiet moments, reading in a sunny spot, listening to the sounds of the world going by, walking a dog, or just helping out in the background. I'm always down to learn new skills, join in where needed, and be part of a kind and welcoming space. Some more information
