Hello I’m Charice

22 years old and currently traveling the World :)

I travelled a lot, ever since I was very young (with my mom and little brother and later with friends) and now I am very excited to experience the world on my own. I'm a very outgoing person and always up to meeting new people and hearing their stories, future plans and dreams and make new friends of course.

Most of my free time, I spend with my friends, family or exploring. Sometimes when I feel creative I like to draw a bit or start a new building project, also a good book is super relaxing from time to time (I am a sucker for some good fantasy and sifi books, love the hitchhiker through the galaxy. if you have some books that i can read, that makes me like you even more). On the other hand, I'm always down for some action and adventures and love to explore the outdoors, go for long walks and just enjoy nature, even more with my camera. Photography is something I enjoy a lot, capturing all the special moments, places and people I experience, visit and meet along the way.

I'm super excited about the people I will meet though here and the new experiences!

Back in Germany I was working in cafes for over 4 years as a barista and server, which involved training new employees, helping organize the team, closing and opening the store and making sure everything was clean. This type of work has taught me valuable communication skills, how to work well under pressure and organizing a team, very early on.

I also worked for NGOs as a fundraiser, mostly promoting and educating people on the streets.
Later on, during my travels I got the opportunity to volunteer with an NGO, working on construction sites and building disaster resistant schools. This volunteering opportunity turned into a job as a Construction site supervisor for 6 Months in the Philippines. This Job involved the Organization and management of a site with 40-100 people actively working. Monitoring the workflow, making sure everything is going accordingly and helping when needed was part of my typical workday. I gained a lot of knowledge and handwork skills, which I want to develop even further in the future.

Around Europe I volunteered in a couple of workaways, helping out with a boat and around some land with a lovely family. Then I got the opportunity to work in some hostels around Asia, which included checking people in and out and acting as a social host, entertaining and organizing events for everyone.

A lot of my childhood I spend on a farm, helping out with the farm work and especially the animals. I always loved animals and spending time with them. Outdoor work is nothing new to me and I hope that during my trip I get to work at a farm or something similar again.

My knowledge of technology is good and practical, nothing special, but I can find my way around almost any system and what I don't know I can teach myself pretty fast.

Cooking vegetarian or vegan meals is something I love to do most of the time, I mean, who doesn't like good food. Sharing a good meal with people is always nice.
Generally, I am eager to extend my skill set and learn a lot of new things.
