  • Description

Hi! I'm an interpreter and translator with too many interests to handle :D I currently live in the north of Italy (halfway between Milan and Venice), but I also lived in Russia, Ukraine and France. I'm enthusiastic about pretty much anything relating to languages and cultures, I could spend hours discussing how a specific sound or figure of speech came to life.
I grew up on a horse farm and I've been around horses and cats for most of my life, so every time I see one I need to stop and try to pet them.

I enjoy reading, dancing (poorly), hiking and talking to new people. I really like cooking (I'm vegetarian though, so no meat of fish for me) but I don't do it as often as I should because I get a bit lazy about it if I don't have anyone to share the food with.

I travel as much as I can, both solo and with friends. My favourite spots all around the world are: the Field of Mars in St Petersburg in winter, when it's covered in fresh snow and crossing it feels like walking on clouds; the narrow traboules in Lyon and their mysterious atmosphere; the Port of Galway at dawn; everywhere in Rome; a few small towns in Tuscany and in the north of Lazio.

At the end of September/beginning of October I have a couple of free weeks and I would love to use them to visit a French vinery (maybe around Bordeaux?) and help with the wine-making and pruning process, or with anything related to vines and gardening.

I am also looking for places to explore in Ireland in October/November/December because I fell in love when I visited last year and I'm considering moving there for good, but I still don't know where specifically! I've just started studying Gaeilge too (I want to stress that "just": I know only a few words for now ahah) and I would love to have the chance to get to know someone who speaks the language.

More details about my language interests
I am an Italian native speaker and certified teacher of Italian as a second language and I would love to teach you my mother tongue! I have just started studying Gaeilge and I am really hoping to learn some new words and improve my pronunciation. I am curious about the culture and the history of the language as well! In addition, I used to speak decent French but I haven't had the chance to practice it in a while and I'm a bit rusty , so I would love to chat with some native speakers to freshen it up :)

  • More details about your skills

I am a certified Italian teacher and I would love to help you learn my language :) I am also an interpreter and translator from English into Italian and I would be more than happy to help you with the Italian website/menu/social media of your organisation, if you have one.
I also have some experience in editing and writing, so anything related to language and communication is certainly within my interests and likely falls within my field of expertise.
I speak Russian and French as well, not well enough to professionally translate *into* them but if you are looking for someone to practice them with I'm your woman!

I grew up on a horse farm and I rode for many years. I used to help at the stables when needed, so I know all the basics of how to take care of a horse (grooming, cleaning stables, feeding, etc). I've also had and took care of cats for most of my life, but I don't have much experience with dogs.

I worked in hospitality for a while and did a bit of everything, from changing bed linens/towels to fixing squeaky doors to checking in guests. I'm not a handywoman yet but I'm a quick learner and an affectionate YouTube watcher, therefore I have high hopes concerning my basic house maintenance skills!
