Description
I am a school teacher currently trying to extend into my passion of sustainability and community, things that I looking for more of in my life.
I'm interested in permaculture and the main reason for first starting my Workaway account is to connect with people that are open to share their experiences and passion for sustainability with me, and hopefully I am able to share my own experiences and work ethic in return. Growing up I lived on a farm but most of my experience is from working with and caring for animals - I still have a lot to learn (and am eager ) about gardening.
In my personal time you will find me trying different craft projects, reading, or finding physical activity. I enjoy being physically active through different areas and have played volleyball (socially and competitively) for many years.
I am vegan and have coeliac disease so I need to follow a gluten-free diet , however, this does mean I am also very capable and enjoy making my own meals or for others who would like to try the same :) shared kitchens / gluten products in the same space are not a worry as long as cleaning precautions taken

More details about your skills
I have a Bachelor's of Education (Primary Middle) and enjoy working with children and hold a current WWCC. I am passionate about hands-on learning and, through my teaching experience, I primarily work with children aged 5–13. I was a STEM teacher before moving into mainstream classes.
While I no longer work in it as frequently as teaching, I am also a NDIS certified Support Worker in Disability Care. I supported anyone who needed care in their daily routines and odd jobs. There are many household jobs that I enjoy doing in my own home or have experienced while supporting others, and this was something that bought me fulfilment that I could care for and support others.
Before teaching I worked in Hospitality - cooking and cleaning.
I enjoy sewing, cooking, and keeping things tidy. I love gardening but I do not have much experience other than experimenting myself in small pots around my home.
