Hi,
My name is Carmen. I’m a 29-year-old French traveler. After spending a few years in Quebec, I decided to travel to Mexico for several months. I’m going to start traveling for a month with my friend Mathilde, and then I’ll continue my trip on my own .I enjoy discovering new cultures, learning languages, and meeting people. My Spanish is still basic, but my English improves every day.

When I was 22, I had my first volunteer experience on a farm in South Africa, where I took care of horses and worked in the fields. It was a very meaningful experience for me.

I worked for several years in the film and theater industry in France as a props maker. I enjoy working with my hands, especially creating objects like papier-mâché masks or puppets. I’m also happy to help with construction projects or any activity that allows me to learn new skills and work with others.

I enjoy hiking, horse riding, sailing, and circus arts. I like spending time outdoors, experiencing different climates, and meeting people from different backgrounds.
Traveling is an opportunity for me to better understand other cultures and the people who shape them, which is why the idea of Workaway really appeals to me.
