Suffolk carpenter looking for volunteering projects in Europe! Particularly interested in helping intentional communities, NGOs and heritage projects + Teacher

Description
Hi! I’m Cal – a carpenter and artist from Suffolk UK. I’m a hardworking and easy-going guy, who loves traveling and getting to know all different kinds of people.
I’ve come to workaway through the principle of mutual aid: I strongly believe the world be becomes a better place the more we can all help and share with each other. Workaway is a great way to practice this, where I can give my time and experience to all different kinds of projects and communities, and get to travel the world, learn new things and make new friends.
As a carpenter- I work with hand tools and traditional methods to provide strong, functional furniture and fittings in a variety of styles: Shaker, Arts and Crafts, Mission, and Medieval.
I mostly design and make furniture, but I’m very adaptable - I’ve made all sorts of things over the years including small boats, restorations of antiques, tools, farmyard structures, and even hand drawn carts!
When participating in workaways, I travel with a portable workshop in my car: a full-size traditional workbench and set of hand tools. This means I can be very flexible with making whatever you want. If you’ve got some specific ideas about what you might want me to make, its best if we can discuss this before I leave so I can plan my toolkit accordingly. I don't bring any timber or 'consumables' like nails or woodglue. I travel with an old fashioned canvas tent, so if you some have the space for me to put this up this would be ideal 😊
As an artist, I mostly work in oil-paint, charcoal and cast resin sculptures- I try to capture moments that feel significant and powerful, and that convey a sense of dream like travel and distance.
I also have a remote job which I need to spend some time each weekday doing- but this is very flexible and can easily fit around whatever our project will be 😊
I spent the last half of 2023 on workaways in Spain Portugal and France, I loved meeting so many people and I still stay in touch!

More details about your skills
I've got a lot of experience in traditional woodworking and carpentry:
From fine furniture to green roundwood framing. I can work well in off grid locations as I use traditional hand tools for all my work, not relying on any power tools.
I'm generally quite handy and also have some experience with non carpentry maintenance, such as groundworks, bricklaying and masonry. Most importantly, I'm always looking to learn and happy to get stuck in.
Ive also had a lot of experience as an artist and designer, and during my day-job as an IT specialist.
In the past I've had roles as a bushcraft instructor, an archaeologist, and farmhand which has given me a lot of experience working hard outdoors throughout the year.
