Hello everyone! :) My name is Cassandra, I'm from Canada and two years ago, I graduated in Social Work and I'm currently pursuing a degree in International Development and Social Work. I am on Workaway because I love travelling, exploring the world, discovering new cultures and lifestyles. It is my dream to volunteer abroad in order to learn about the local culture and to discover new things. I aim to positively impact people's lives and contribute mindfully to society by helping them all over the world. For me, Workaway is a real lifestyle: Before the pandemic, I worked in a school in Peru where I worked with special needs students. In addition, I developed activities that helped them release their emotions (play therapy activities). As part of my 2 year work holiday visa (WHV) in England, I also worked at a meditation centre as an Education Program Coordinator Assistant. It was such a meaningful experience for me, and I'm grateful to have found it through Workaway. I have various experiences (social work, tutoring, social media, restaurant, raising mental health awareness, holistic health, tourist information, project management/coordination, non-profit organization etc.). I consider myself to be open-minded, adventurous, sociable, energetic, enthusiastic, optimistic, and motivated! :D I'm always excited to learn new skills and to step outside of my comfort zone!

Ps- Because of the pandemic, I am not sure if my vaccination status should be listed on my profile, but if yes, I am fully vaccinated since July 2021 with Pfizer.
