  • Description

    Hello everyone!

I’m a 49-year-old traveler with a degree in food engineering, although my professional life took a different direction. Instead of working in my field, I moved into the construction sector, where I already had some background through my family. Building on that, I started and ran my own business for 15 years, gaining strong hands-on experience and practical skills.
After many years in business, I decided to step away a few years ago and pursue a more meaningful and flexible lifestyle. Since then, I’ve been traveling as much as I can, embracing a nomadic way of life and a slower pace, taking time to connect with people, experience different cultures, and learn as I go.

Besides my shorter trips across various European, Balkan, and Middle Eastern countries, I also spent a year living in Belgium, which was one of my first longer experiences abroad. After quitting my business, I continued this journey in 2020 by living in South Africa for a year, followed by traveling through several neighboring countries. I’ve also spent time in Southeast Asia across multiple trips, about two years in total. During those stays, I volunteered on different projects—mostly through spontaneous opportunities rather than formal platforms—helping with gardening, maintenance, and day-to-day tasks. And I spent two summers volunteering at a friend’s campsite and bungalow business on the coast in Turkey, helping with a variety of daily tasks, including maintenance, basic guest support, and general upkeep.

I’ve always enjoyed growing my own vegetables whenever I had the chance, and I’m very interested in learning more about eco-friendly and sustainable ways of farming.

I’ve recently started a longer journey through South America, hoping to explore different countries, stay longer in places through volunteering, and take time to understand the cultures and build meaningful connections.
