Description
About me 🌍
Hey! I’m a final-year Physician Associate student at the University of Reading. I’ve spent the last few years buried in medical textbooks, and while I love what I do, I’m so ready to swap the hospital wards for the real world for a bit!
I’m a big believer that we only get one shot at life, so I want to fill mine with as many stories, faces, and 'first-times' as possible. I’m easy going, always up for a laugh, and genuinely curious about how people live in different corners of the world.
Why I’m here
I want to get out of my comfort zone, pick up some new languages (or at least try!), and meet people who see the world differently than I do. I’m not just looking for a place to stay, I’m looking to actually muck in, help out, and feel like part of a community for a while.
Things I love (and can help with!)
Music: I’m rarely without my guitar. I’ve also recently started singing lessons, I’m definitely still in the "beginner" phase, but I’d love to have a jam session or learn some local songs!
Being a medical student means I’m pretty used to being on my feet, staying organized, and staying calm when things get busy. Whether it's gardening, helping around the house, or some DIY, I’m happy to get my hands dirty.
I love hearing people's stories and sharing a few of my own over a meal .
I’m tidy, respectful of personal space, and always happy to help wherever I'm needed :)

More details about your skills
Since I’m in my final year of becoming a Physician Associate, my biggest "skills" are actually my discipline and organization. I’m used to managing a heavy workloads and sticking to a tight schedule.
So I’m someone who shows up on time and gets the job done without needing to be chased!
Here’s what I can bring to the table:
Reliability: I’m very responsible. If you give me a task or a routine to follow, I’ll stick to it. I’m used to high-pressure environments, so I’m calm and level-headed.
A Fast Learner: I might not be a pro gardener or a builder (yet!), but my studies have taught me how to learn new things quickly.
First Aid Knowledge: Obviously, with my medical background, I’m very comfortable with first aid and health-related tasks. I’m a handy person to have around just in case!
People Skills: Through my hospital placements, I’ve learned how to talk to people from all walks of life. I enjoy a good chat.
Household Help: I’m tidy and organized by nature. I’m happy to help with cleaning, basic cooking, grocery shopping, or looking after pets.

What else ...
I live interacting with other musicians and learning from them. I still consider myself a beginner musician but would love to jam.
I'm a yes person... I’m generally up for anything. If you’re heading out for a hike, visiting a local market, or need help with a random project I’ve never done before, I’m your person. I’m here to collect as many interesting experiences as possible.

Feedback
Some of my days involved helping with the kids, and I especially enjoyed sometimes taking Anouk and Aaron to school. They are sweet, energetic children and I really enjoyed their company.
The experience also pushed me out of my comfort zone… read more
