Hi, I'm Kyle! I'm really excited to join work away and take part in cultural exchange. It probably has a lot do with the fact that life has thrown me around a lot 😂 I was born in the UK, raised in Georgia (USA), then lived in the UK again for 10 more years, and now I'm in Jamaica, where I currently live 😅 I've had to adapt a lot to different forms of busy family life and helping take care of my siblings or other family members, which I think has helped me stay open-minded and adaptable.

I’m always keen to learn new skills — even simple ones, and I'm especially eager to get better at the things I already know. Workaway really appeals to me because I’m aiming to live a more self-sustainable life. In Jamaica, I’ve been learning by doing — growing my own food, landscaping, making bio-char, and learning to bake simple bread (would love to practice making more! haha). I’m keen to keep building these skills and learning from others. I’m especially interested in natural farming, hunting, foraging, and beekeeping.

I love animals, and have helped care for pets starting at a very young age; from raising newborn puppies, to caring for elderly cats - so I feel very comfortable around animals. I even had the responsibility of taking care of a whole chicken coop during a summer on the school farm when I was younger.

In my free time I enjoy making YouTube videos and video editing, cycling and repairing/rebuilding bikes, hiking, any kind of DIY building, learning about anything mechanical, building computers, fixing game consoles, graphic design, lots of different creative work 🤣 also board games and video games.
