Hi, I'm Etienne :)
I am a 23 yo french guy who might be reserved but not a loner.
People describe me both as a dreaming artist, and a pragmatic thinker.
I am fascinated by The Little Prince, sunsets and Cavetown music and I really enjoy drawing, painting, playing the trumpet or the ukulele, and singing.
On the other hand, I love talking about urban planning, mental health, LGBT issues, psychology of learning, life paths, astronomy, and so on. I still have a lot of things to learn, but I am not afraid about complex sujects and I can understand many viewpoints!
I like to think that we can find happiness by listening to our inner child and doing the things we want to do in the moment. For me, in the moment, I'm driven by the desire to travel, to open my mind, to learn new skills and to use my hands a lot more than I have done before!
I had a humanitarian experience as I left for Nepal in January to join a school building program from All Hands And Hearts NGO. I will be happy to talk about this life experience if we get the chance to meet eachother.
I'm looking forward to start my next Workaway experience!Interests

More details about your skills
I have studied urban planning and geomatics for three years and I'm nearly graduated. I have developped skills like :
- Mapping (I learned to use GIS softwares like Qgis) ;
- Planning (I did a project during my last year where we had to suggest a planning for a city park in a polluted area) ;
- Understanding urban dynamics.
I have worked as an apprentice for three years in crisis management for the city hall of Lille. I have developped skills like :
- Organisation (I had to organise crisis packages previously to large events) ;
- Deductive skills (I had to create a media to raise child awareness about hazard) ;
- Analysis (I had to analyse a public services contract).
I spent 6 weeks in Nepal to join a school-building program with All Hands And Hearts NGO. I developped skills like :
- Building work (as the building was made of concrete and briks with very few machines) ;
- Landscaping (as I was responsible for planning the playground and the landscaping around the school) ;
- Open-mindness and self-consciousness.
I have been the president of a student organisation for two years, which hosts a choir and organises musical events. I have developped skills like :
- Locution (as I have to present my arguments to financers and adress to the association members) ;
- Team management (I am not a good leader but I always listen and adapt to the team members needs) ;
- Small events management (from the requirements, budget, organisation, to the event in itself, there is a long way...).
And finally, I have learned to do non-professional things like :
- Drawing ;
- Doing maths ;
- Cooking ...Age
23
What else ...
I am a transgender person. Basically, it doesn't change anything except that I use he/they pronouns. But if you personnaly can't handle this, then I would prefer not to share a Workaway experience with you. On the other hand, I don't care if you are unfamiliar with it, as long as you are respectful. I would be happy to talk with you about it if you want, and I would be ok not talking about it at all too!
