Hello,

My name is Valentin, I'm 23 and I have just finished my studies in mechanical engineering. Before I start working, I would like to take a gap year to learn new things, explore the world and improve my English (and Spanish).

I love exploring new territories, going on multi-day hikes and road trips. Quite simply, I love adventure and sport.

After 3 months in Ireland, I'm looking for somewhere new to go. I would like to learn construction skills in particular, but I'm open to many things. I'm looking for rewarding experiences that will satisfy my curiosity. I'm curious to discover and learn. I'm versatile, so I can really help you with lots of things. I'm also independent and organised, so I can work on my own and take the initiative.

I did several jobs during my studies. I was an electrician on fire engines, but also worked on an assembly line or on machines in industry. I worked in the construction industry for 1 month, fitting windows and gates. I'm really comfortable with tools, drills, hammers, lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, etc.

As well as my technical skills, my mechanical engineering studies have taught me to be organised and meticulous. I like a job well done and I have an eye for detail.

I can help with DIY, gardening and landscaping, as well as many other things.

I stayed with Tom and Theresa for 2 and a half weeks and had a great time on the ranch. The work was affordable, 25 hours a week, I did weeding, tree planting and various DIY. Valentin was a fantastic guest and help in our home. His attention to detail and tasks was 100%. During his stay we got a substantial amount of work done on our cabin project. He has a lovely personality and is great at making pancakes :)
