Hi! I’m currently 18 years old and I’ve recently finished school. I’ve always been very interested in traveling and have lived in both the Far East and the Middle East for a number of years. I’m very keen on learning more about the history, culture, and languages of different countries and hold an offer to read Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Oxford - so I like viewing travelling from an academic perspective as well.

I think that travelling and staying with different hosts from all across globe can provide invaluable insight into the world we live in. I’d love to be able to stay with different people and help them with their projects or tasks and make new friends along the way.

I particularly like teamwork and meeting and engaging with different people, especially where adaptability or flexibility is necessary, so that I can contribute as far as I can and make the most of the opportunities provided.

I am good communicator and enjoy meeting and interacting with new people, and I also have a disciplined work ethic and am a hard worker. I also aim to be adaptable and respond to different and unfamiliar situations, and most of all, I understand the value of working and cooperating as a team.

I also speak three languages: English and Persian fluently, and French to around a B1 level (although I am a bit rusty now).

I’ve previously done volunteering at various organisations through helping with event coordination / managing, and I’ve also participated in multiple charity fundraisers as well. I’ve also helped relatives / friends with garden work or home renovation so I understand the basics of such tasks.

I am an avid cyclist and I especially enjoy cycling in the countryside and visiting new places. I also love acting and I’ve played / participated in local theatre productions.
