  • Description

Hello everyone and blessings to you,

A similarity I'm certain I share with many of you on this app is the desire for new experiences, adventure and connection. My friends and family have described me as vivacious and full of life, and I feel most prideful when I can bring any semblance of joy or positivity into someone’s day. I am my happiest when I am outside, my mama calls me a ‘water baby’ but I equally love trees and open spaces. I enjoy using my body and being physically strong, I am an avid boulderer and train in Muy Thai. A few years ago I attained my degree in Psychology, which I chose because of my love of humans and their many idiosyncrasies. I particularly love working with children and have worked with many age groups across the globe from babies in Bolivia to university applicants in Vietnam. I travel because the more incredible people I meet, and things I see, the better a person I become.

  • More details about your skills

I pride myself on my ability to talk to almost anybody, finding common ground through shared interests or experiences and if there is absolutely nothing in common then I will spark a debate instead! I have honed this communicative skill set through a variety of occupations I have taken on so far in my life which have molded me to be highly adaptable and deeply empathetic:

    - Working as a domiciliary care giver for clients with a range of physical and mental disabilities where communication and reassurance had to happen across many domains not just verbal. We had to work with patience in unison to find the approach that worked best for them and their individual differences.
    - I spent half a decade of my late teens working as a barista in a small coffe shop in Manchester, bonding deeply with my regulars and getting to know their complex and fascinating personal histories. Also learning how to effectively manage others and be a firm but conscientious leader.
    - Teaching and caring for children of many ages, creeds and cultures, being determined to connect wholly with each one and create a safe space for personal growth and learning.

In addition to people, I adore animals and have some previous experience working with a wide variety of species from Dogs and Horses to Capybara and Ocelot. This work took place when I was 18 on my gap year living in Bolivia, I worked in Parque zoologico municipal vesty pakos, a small zoo outside of La Paz and my time there was limited but I loved it and would jump at the oppurtunity to gain more experience working with animals.

My mum has very green fingers and I have been brought up with a deep appreciation of the outdoors. We have grown a variety of flowers and vegetables and I am always keen to learn more as it is a dream of mine to one day grow my own food. I love getting down and dirty, I love mud and rain and grass, so any outdoorsy job is a good one. In terms of labouring I am very physically strong and stubborn, my family call me the Bulldozer, I will do everything in my power to get a job done.

    You can rely on me.
