Description

Hi, I’m Annika, 24 years old and in my 8th semester of studying to become a primary school teacher with the subjects German, English, Math, and Science. I’m planning a stay abroad to improve my language skills and gain new experiences. I love working with animals and have been passionate about horses for many years—I’ve been riding for 12 years and regularly help care for a group of Shetland ponies. I also work at a stable that belongs to my boyfriend, which is part of a farm, so I’m familiar with agricultural work and everything that comes with it. I’m very comfortable working outdoors in any weather—growing up in Germany has definitely prepared me for rain, mud, and everything in between (good weather is just a happy bonus!). I’m friendly, motivated, and not afraid to get my hands dirty. I’m really excited about the opportunity to meet you and hopefully join your team soon!

I’m here to improve my English and hopefully become a lot more fluent (and less nervous when speaking!). But I’m also happy to help out with German if anyone’s up for it – whether it’s learning a few useful phrases or mastering the art of “Bitte” and “Danke.” Language exchange can be fun, and I love the idea of learning from each other!

I have a lot of experience working with animals, especially horses and ponies. I’m confident with tasks like feeding, grooming, and cleaning stables. Through my work at my boyfriend’s farm, I’ve also helped with general farm work like putting up fences, driving a wheel loader, and doing repairs. I’m used to working outside in all kinds of weather and don’t mind getting dirty. I’m reliable, like working with others, and enjoy learning new things. Thanks to my studies, I’m patient and good at working with children too.
