Hello everyone,

I'm Anne, 26 years old, and I live in the Netherlands. I graduated as a psychologist in May 2025 and have been working in a nursing home since then. After some major changes in my personal life, I decided to take some time to travel the world and gain new experiences.

I’ve already traveled to several countries in Europe, as well as to Taiwan and China with my family — but this is my first time traveling on my own. I would love to see beautiful places, meet new people, learn about their lives and cultures, and pick up new skills and types of work.

In my day-to-day life, I'm passionate about creative hobbies and DIY projects (sewing, crafting), dancing (salsa), spending time with my loved ones, reading, watching movies, cooking, being out in nature, treasure hunting in second-hand shops, and living out my faith.

I also have a soft heart for animals and love taking care of them and spending time with them.

I would describe myself as a kind, open, enthousiastic and caring person, ready to explore more about life and the world.

I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming Workaway experiences and meeting the hosts involved!

With a background in psychology, I’m a good listener, empathetic, and comfortable working with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Besides that, I enjoy working with my hands and love being creative. I have experience with sewing and upcycling clothes and bags, crafting jewellery, restoring and upcycling old furniture, and other DIY projects. I enjoy organizing and decorating, and I like keeping rooms tidy and pleasant to be in. A drive for change has led me to paint my own rooms in several different colours – so I definitely know how to use a paintbrush!

I’m also passionate about cooking and love trying out new recipes. During the summer, I assisted in the kitchen team at a children's summer camp, so I’m comfortable cooking for groups and helping with meal prep.

I also have experience with children – from babysitting to helping out at Sunday school in my church.

I have a dog and have had cats as well, so I’m used to caring for animals and love spending time with them.

I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and am happy to help with all sorts of different tasks.
