  • Description

Hello! I'm Alina, a 22-year-old student of French and Spanish from the picturesque city of Bamberg, Germany. What truly motivates me is the joy of cultural exchange and the opportunity to connect with people from different backgrounds. I find immense happiness in learning new languages and immersing myself in different cultures, which is why I decided to work as a German assistant in France. This experience has not only enriched my language skills but also deepened my appreciation for diverse ways of life.
Being outdoors is another source of joy for me. Whether it's taking a walk in nature, helping in the garden or simply soaking up the sun, I find peace and satisfaction in the simplicity of outdoor life. The tranquility of rural settings helps me recharge and brings a sense of fulfillment that urban life sometimes lacks.
I also love swimming (I volunteered as a lifeguard in my hometown Altdorf) and photography (especially nature photography)
Helping others and contributing to meaningful projects gives me a sense of purpose. I love learning new skills, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing a project through to completion. Working in a team, sharing knowledge, and supporting one another are all aspects of life that I hold dear.
In essence, what brings me happiness is a blend of connection, learning, and the simple joys of everyday life. I look forward to meeting new people, sharing experiences, and growing together through workaway.

More details about my language interests
Since I'm studying French and Spanish to become a teacher, I speak both languages fluently and I am quite educated in teaching languages to other people. Besides, in 2019, I did a school exchange to Minnesota (United States). Since then, I'm in a regular contact to native speakers of the english language and could develop my english skills to a very fluent level. Apart from that, my latest goal is learning swedish since it seems to be a beautiful language and not spoken by so many people what makes it special to learn it.

  • More details about your skills

As a student of French and Spanish, I have a fluent level in both languages, which allows me to communicate effectively in multilingual settings. My role as a German assistant in France has enhanced my ability to teach and explain language concepts clearly, making me a valuable asset for any language-based tasks or cultural exchange activities.
After my high school degree, I volunteered for 1 year in a primary school in Germany where I had tasks like teaching, playing with the kids and also doing some bureaucracy work in the secretary. Since october 2024, I have been working as a German assistant at Lycée Jacques Cœur in Bourges, where I’ve gained experience in planning and conducting engaging lessons for students aged 15-18. This role has developed my skills in communication, patience, and creativity, which are all transferable to various educational or community-based projects.
I'm not a professional horticulturist, but I have genuine love for nature and working outdoors. I’m eager to learn more about horticulture and contribute to any outdoor projects with dedication and enthusiasm. Besides, I have skills in photography and in first aid in swimming since I volunteered as a lifegurad in my hometown Altdorf.
My experiences have taught me to be adaptable and open to new challenges. I thrive in team environments where collaboration and mutual support are key. I’m also independent and can take initiative when needed.
I am excited to bring my skills, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn to your project. I look forward to contributing to your community and making the most of this opportunity!
